Natural bentonite type, mainly according to the relative content of the type of cation montmorillonite is divided into calcium, sodium, hydrogen, hectorite, etc., which is mainly calcium montmorillonite clay called calcium bentonite. Most of the bentonite ore in China is mainly to produce calcium-based bentonite, calcium-based bentonite is cheaper than sodium-based bentonite, and easy to get.

Most mines implement the "Ministerial Standards for Bentonite and Clay for Foundry"(1997) and enterprise standards. The main determination of blue absorption, moisture, colloid medium, through rate, wet pressure strength, expansion coefficient, PH value, etc., determination methods and standards are omitted here.
There are more than 20 bentonite mining plants in counties and more than 100 bentonite mining plants run by community teams, and most provinces (autonomous regions) have them. Most counties (cities) in the country have bentonite in building materials companies or material shopping malls. Small factories engaged in sand turning in rural market towns generally use bentonite. Those with less dosage can be contacted with them, but the quality must be paid attention.
